Most participants of the expedition ended the adventure in the Village of Uelen, Pat O'Hara, Nancy Shute, Afanassi Makovnev, Volodia Sertoon and Sue Steinacher flew by Aeroflot helicopter to a reindeer camp on the mainland next to Senyavina Strait. They spent several days with Olga Tinachvanau and her family while waiting for the umiaks being transported back to Provideniya.
